Shabbat B'yachad Host November 2026
The goal of the BZBI Shabbat B'yachad program is to help ensure that members of the BZBI community feel more connected to each other. To do this we would like to encourage our members to help create a space where Shabbat can be experienced through inclusive dinners in each other's homes.
As a host, you will help to spread the warmth of the BZBI community and further our mission and values of BZBI being an inclusive and welcoming place where everyone belongs.
The first Shabbat B'yachad dinner will take place on November 21, 2026
.
Hosts will be matched with guests from the BZBI community by members of the Shabbat B'yachad committee. We hope that you will join us and participate in this new endeavor.
The deadline to register is Sunday, November 2 at 3:00 PM
*
As a Shabbat B'yachad host, I understand and agree to abide by the following (please check each box):
Hosts could be matched with guests they do not know (from the BZBI community)
Hosts provide all food
The food that hosts provide must be vegetarian/fish/dairy only
Guests may only be asked to bring wine or flowers
Guests will be asked to make a contribution to BZBI in honor of their host and the Shabbat B'Yachad program
BZBI will supply the host with a prayer handout that includes Hebrew and English transliteration
Hosts will be told the details of their guest list for dinner by Thursday, September 12 (including guest dietary restrictions and contact information)
Once the host is given their guest list, the host takes responsibility for their Shabbat B'Yachad dinner
My contribution to BZBI in honor of our host and the Shabbat B'Yachad program
